Around the island

A beautiful October day, an afternoon free. Time to sail around the island.

We were looking for possible landing places as an alternative to the harbour. Don't think there are any on the east side.

When you're by Inchkeith, you're nearly at Fife…

Pettycur and Kinghorn, getting closer…

and closer.

But we resist the call of Kinghorn, not wanting to be rowing home in the dusk if the wind dropped. Around the buoy, then homeward bound.

No time to explore the north coast of Inchkeith.

It's good to be on the water.
Thanks to Andrew for the pictures and the company.

  1. Enjoyed seeing these photos of sailing on the Forth, Osbert. Took me back a little bit to being an undergraduate in Edinburgh (although I was not a sailor then.)
